 The
mission of the Lima Agreement is to strengthen democracy in
the region. Its goals are:
a. To further citizen participation in public affairs, as a
means to exercise constitutional and democratic rights.
b. To exchange successful experiences and methodologies in
order to strengthen democratic
processes in the region.
c. To undertake electoral process observation and monitoring
based on the free and fair election international standards
and performed by civil society.
d. To promote monitoring and lobbying activities on strategic
issues related to democratic governance.
